Halfway Thru August

There's more to life

I’ve actually been able to get a few of the August goals worked on. Not finished yet, but much closer to finished. And I still have half a month to go!!! Yeah, baby!!

Mom, Katy, Me

Yesterday, Mom, DD and I went out for Afternoon Tea at a local tea shop. Despite the dreadful heat and humidity, we had a marvelous time. The food was VERY good and the tea was amazing. I’ve been there before so I knew that it would be a great experience. DD knew where the shop was, because she’s been there to purchase tea. Mom did not know anything about it. She had the Tarragon Chicken Salad sandwich, which she said was delicious. I had quiche and DD had soup and a sandwich – yummy. Then we had cherry white chocolate scones with Devonshire cream and lemon curd – really yummy!! After our tea, we did a little shopping – not much, it was move-in weekend for the University students, so every store was packed with people getting things for their dorm rooms, apartments, etc. Plus all the out-of-town families making sure their darlings were settled in caused a lot more traffic. We didn’t linger in town for very long!

Once home, I managed to sew a few more seams on the Aqua Ocean Waves – all the blocks are assembled into rows. Now I just have to sew the rows together and I’ll have a flimsy! Maybe I should get started on that today!?!

  1. Our Sunday trip to Morgantown was so much fun. I think that we should definitely have another three generation adventure before too long.
